The Faculty of Health Studies is one of the youngest constituent units of the University of Mostar, it was founded in 2000 as the School of Health Studies. The Faculty is rapidly developing into a recognizable institution that educates students, reproduces its own scientific-teaching staff and takes part in international projects. The development program of the Faculty is aligned with the objectives of the Bologna process, and in the upcoming four year period the faculty leadership will strive to integrate the teaching process by linking related courses and upgrading the quality of exercises.
Upon completing the first stage of study which lasts for a period of three years you will earn the title Bachelor, and afterwards the best of you will be able to continue to the second cycle of education, Master studies. Your future calling is more than a profession. Therefore, before obtaining a diploma, our graduates solemnly swear to help every man. regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or religion. They also undertake to keep secrets and protect the dignity of their patients. More than ever, the students are responsible for their own success during studying.

Fakultet zdravstvenih studija Sveučilišta u Mostaru osnovan je 2000. godine pod nazivom Visoka zdravstvena škola. Zbog izražene potrebe za višom razinom obrazovanja 2008. godine prerasta u Fakultet zdravstvenih studija Sveučilišta u Mostaru. Zgrada Fakulteta sa suvremenim prostorom i opremom uz Medicinski fakultet i Sveučilišnu kliničku bolnicu čini suvremeni biomedicinski centar na Bijelom Brijegu u Mostaru.
U akademskoj 2016./2017. godini je, uz već postojeće preddiplomske i diplomske (magistarske) studije, pokrenut i poslijediplomski doktorski studij „Zdravstvene znanosti“. Tako se magistrima sestrinstva, fizioterapije, radiološke tehnologije i sanitarnog inženjerstva omogućava obrazovanje na najvišoj akademskoj razini - osposobljavanje za znanstvenoistraživački i nastavnički rad na sveučilištu. Prvi preddiplomski studij primaljstva u Bosni i Hercegovini pokrenut je u akademskoj 2014./2015. godini na našem Fakultetu. U akademskoj 2022./2023. godini planiramo pokrenuti diplomski studij primaljstva kako bismo prvostupnicima primaljstva omogućili obrazovanje na višoj akademskoj razini.
Dakle, Fakultet zdravstvenih studija obavlja i razvija obrazovnu i znanstvenoistraživačku djelatnost tako da naši studenti tijekom studija stječu integrirano predmetno znanje i vještine, sposobnost kritičke procjene znanja i bavljenja istraživačkim radom.
Na taj način se obrazuju budući prvostupnici, magistri i doktori znanosti kao vrhunski zdravstveni stručnjaci i znanstvenici koji imaju važnu ulogu u procesu promocije zdravlja, prevencije i liječenja bolesti te postaju nezamjenjiva karika u zdravstvenom sustavu, što u širem smislu predstavlja misiju Fakulteta zdravstvenih studija. Sportske i društvene aktivnosti Studentskog zbora, uz kvalitetan obrazovni proces dodatno povećavaju zadovoljstvo naših studenata.
Dodatni motiv za odabir jednog od studijskih programa na našem Fakultetu je i grad Mostar za kojega je nobelovac Ivo Andrić rekao da je “od prirode povlašteni grad” s brojnim znamenitostima različitih kultura.
